One day, David opened the drawer in his dad's room and took out the money, which he needed to hang out with his school friends. All this time nobody knew he's not as rich as he pretends to be. Nobody knew that his dad is a salesman in a shoe store. "I have to do this," David told himself. "Otherwise I'll never be part of them."
He went to Kevin's house, where his friend are already waiting. Together they went and watched a live band perfomance, visited a video arcade, then grab a bit at a food court. When he returned home late at night, he found his mom in tears.
"Where have you been?" she cried, "Someone stole your dad's money in the afternoon, the time when I went out to pick up your kid sister from school. We can't pay your school fee this month. Dad will have to go to your school tomorrow to explain." David felt bad, but he was afraid to tell the truth.
At recess the next day Davic was waiting for his father, who was went to talk to the asministrator. As soon as his father arrived, David went straight to him. He was no longer ashamed of the man whose clothes are kind of shabby. Then david told him everything.
